    What is the essential difference between ground and grounding in motor products?

    Ground insulation refers to the relative insulation state between the energized conductor of YE3 motor winding and other components to ensure that current flows along the designed path. The insulation performance of windings can be tested through insulation resistance and withstand voltage tests. The limit value of insulation resistance is defined based on different insulation structures, rated voltages, and whether they are in a hot state, and the level of instruments used during the testing process also varies.

    When the insulation of YE3 motor winding is damaged or aged, there will be contact between the energized conductor and other components, which is what we call grounding electrical fault. After a ground insulation fault occurs in the YE3 motor product, the YE3 motor will not function properly. A particularly serious grounding fault can cause the winding to burn out in a short period of time, and also lead to faults in the phase insulation and turn insulation of the winding, resulting in the YE3 motor burning out.

    Grounding is a safety operation measure for electrical products, and YE3 motor products are no exception. Any YE3 motor product must have safety grounding measures, which are protective grounding for the YE3 motor body and personnel. Protective grounding is a grounding device designed to prevent YE3 motors from being energized due to insulation damage to windings or leads, which could endanger personal safety. Therefore, for small and medium-sized rotary YE3 motors, GB/T14711 specifies specific grounding requirements, including grounding signs, grounding wires, grounding resistance, and other specific aspects.

    However, from the results of annual national and local government supervision and inspection, it can be seen that many YE3 motor production enterprises have not fully implemented the requirements for YE3 motor grounding. YE3 motor grounding is also a common inspection item, and many problems have been encountered during the inspection process.

    Grounding is a mandatory inspection item in the CQC and CCC certification of YE3 motor products; The main reason for non-compliance is that the manufacturer did not correctly interpret the standard requirements, resulting in non-compliance with specific grounding measures. In terms of understanding the standard content, each YE3 motor production enterprise should provide necessary training for technical and operational personnel to ensure that the safety requirements of YE3 motors can be implemented.
